Resumo: The text aims at identifying and understanding some of Nietzsche’s perspectives about the western modernity. The title of “thinker” of modernity wants to highlight the fact that Nietzsche’s analysis are not limited to a merely destructive critique of the prevailing values into modernity, but point out to a therapeutic proposal of the diagnosed cultural pathologies. For the analysis and comprehension of Nietzsche’s ideas, will be privileged the book “On the Genealogy of Morality”. At the end, a personal evaluation of the validity and limits of Nietzsche’s thought about Modernity.

Para análise e compreensão das idéias de Nietzsche, será privilegiado o livro Genealogia da moral.
