Resumo: This paper tries to show that Nietzsche overcomes the philosophical pressupositions of modernity through the notion of will to power as interpretation, giving to all affirmation the status of interpretation and searching a new kind of language to express his thought. This way, we refuse to accept Habermas’ affirmation, in his Philosophical Discourse of Modernity, that the Philosophy of Nietzsche is circumscribed to modernity since it is dependent on a temporal consciousness and since it appeals to rationality. According to our point of view, Nietzsche does not make use of modern pressupositions at all.

Recusamos, por isso, a afirmação de Habermas, em seu Discurso filosófico da modernidade, de que a Filosofia de Nietzsche estaria circunscrito à modernidade ao permanecer subsidiada por uma consciência temporal e pelo apelo à racionalidade.
