Resumo: This article aims to analyze the epidemiological profile of hospitalizations and deaths due to acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in Espírito Santo between January 2017 and December 2022. This study is characterized as a descriptive, retrospective and analytical epidemiological study, in which the information were obtained from the Hospital Information System in the Information Technology Department of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). In the period described, 18,819 hospitalizations for acute myocardial infarction were recorded in Espírito Santo. In relation to sex, the highest number of hospitalizations was observed in men. Regarding age group, patients over 60 years of age were those who suffered the most hospitalizations and had the highest death rate. According to the list of hospitalizations per year, the peak years of the pandemic (2020, 2021 and 2022) were those with the highest number of AMI cases. Therefore, it is possible to conclude, through the aforementioned data, that the abrupt majority of patients are elderly men, with the peak years of the Covid-19 Pandemic coinciding with the highest number of cases, most likely due to bad habits. of life that prevailed in the face of quarantine.

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-11-15info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/87310.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n5p2981-2989 Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 2981-2989 Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 2981-2989 Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 2981-2989 2674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/873/988Copyright (c) 2023 Fernanda Dardengo Gava , Franklim Barboza da Silva , Karollyn Fabiano Brandão , João Victor Oinhos de Oliveira , Diene de Andrade Garcia Leal Moraes , Ana Caroline Alamon Braga , Paula Pinheiro de Medeiros Fonseca, Maria Fernanda rocha Corrêa , Sarah Guimarães Sabará , Maria Eduarda Souza Campos https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Gava , Fernanda DardengoSilva , Franklim Barboza daBrandão , Karollyn FabianoOliveira , João Victor Oinhos deMoraes , Diene de Andrade Garcia LealBraga , Ana Caroline Alamon Fonseca, Paula Pinheiro de MedeirosCorrêa , Maria Fernanda rochaSabará , Sarah GuimarãesCampos , Maria Eduarda Souza2023-11-15T17:22:32Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/873Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-11-15T17:22:32Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
