Resumo: Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD), responsible for 31% of global deaths, including Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), represent the main cause of deaths in Brazil. Risk factors, such as dyslipidemia, diabetes, smoking and sedentary lifestyle, increase the likelihood of these pathologies and, therefore, changes in endothelial cells due to such factors can lead to the formation of atherosclerotic plaques, resulting in myocardial ischemia. AMI has significant repercussions, triggering cardiac dysfunction and other conditions, impacting the physical health and cognitive, social and work aspects of individuals. In this sense, the objective of this study is to analyze the rates and describe the profile of hospitalizations for Acute Myocardial Infarction in Brazilian territory from 2018 to 2022. This is a retrospective ecological study with data from the SUS Hospital Information System (SIH /SUS) on hospitalizations for Acute Myocardial Infarction in Brazil from 2018 to 2022. The variables included region, type of care, age group, sex and color/race. In this study, a morbidity profile of patients affected by acute myocardial infarction was demonstrated, and it was found that the incidence of interventions was higher in white men between 60 and 69 years old and residents of the southeast region, with a predominance of emergency care

Specialized Dentistry Group2024-02-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/141910.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n2p793-802Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 793-802Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 793-802Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 793-8022674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1419/1616Copyright (c) 2024 Paulo Victor Moura Rodrigues, Estrela Cecília Moreira de Holanda Farias, Jim Gabriel Melo Cameli, Mariana Belo de Almeida, Beatriz Vasconcelos Ribeiro , Diego Ferreira Cavalcante, Jessica da Silva Campos, Clarice França Lira Leopoldino, Vitória Pereira Alves Coelho, Ana Luiza Rosa de Araújohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMoura Rodrigues, Paulo VictorMoreira de Holanda Farias, Estrela CecíliaMelo Cameli, Jim GabrielBelo de Almeida, MarianaVasconcelos Ribeiro , BeatrizFerreira Cavalcante, Diegoda Silva Campos, JessicaFrança Lira Leopoldino, ClaricePereira Alves Coelho, VitóriaRosa de Araújo, Ana Luiza2024-02-08T14:39:00Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1419Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-02-08T14:39Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
