Early childhood is a crucial period for a child's neuropsychomotor development. At this stage, cognitive, motor and emotional skills are in constant formation, and several factors can positively or negatively influence this process, such as the use of electronic devices, which has raised increasing concerns in contemporary society. With the advancement of technology and the wide availability of electronic devices, young children have early access to these technologies. However, the impact of using these devices in early childhood and their potential effect on neuropsychomotor development are still topics of intense discussion and research. This study aims to investigate the impact of the use of electronic devices in early childhood in relation to children's neuropsychomotor development. Aspects such as exposure time to electronic devices, the types of activities carried out and the possible consequences for motor, cognitive and socio-emotional skills will be examined. This is an integrative review, starting with the formulation of the PICO question “What is the impact of the use of electronic devices in early childhood related to development?”, in which studies were analyzed from 2018 to 2023 in the Virtual Health and Health Library database. Pubmed, with the descriptors child care, use of electronic devices and neuropsychomotor development, using Portuguese, English and Spanish. After selecting the works based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 296 articles were selected, which were evaluated using the Rayyan platform. Therefore, a questionnaire will be administered to parents of children and adolescents (0 to 15 years of age), in order to assess the impacts of screen use by minors. It is hoped that this study will contribute to greater awareness of the risks and benefits associated with the use of electronic devices in early childhood, and that its findings can support interventions and public policies aimed at promoting the healthy development of children at this crucial stage of life.
