Resumo: This work addresses the importance of humanized care provided by doctors in palliative care. The objective is to highlight the need for an approach that considers not only the physical, but also the emotional, social and spiritual aspects of patients at the end of life. To this end, a bibliographical review was carried out that covered studies and articles that discuss humanization in palliative care. The results indicate that the humanization of medical care in this context contributes to a better quality of life for patients and a more dignified death. It is concluded that the humanization of medical care in palliative care is essential to promote the integral well-being of patients at the end of life.

It is concluded that the humanization of medical care in palliative care is essential to promote the integral well-being of patients at the end of life. Este trabalho aborda a importância do cuidado humanizado prestado pelo médico em cuidados paliativos.  O objetivo é destacar a necessidade de uma abordagem que considere não apenas os aspectos físicos, mas também os emocionais, sociais e espirituais dos pacientes em fim de vida. Para isso, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica que abrangeu estudos e artigos que discutem a humanização no cuidado paliativo. Os resultados indicam que a humanização do cuidado médico nesse contexto contribui para uma melhor qualidade de vida dos pacientes e para uma morte mais digna.
