Resumo: This scientific article aims to analyze the application of biodegradable tissues in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, highlighting their relevance in the face of environmental challenges and the need for more sustainable practices in the medical field. Addressing the physical, chemical, and biological properties of these innovative materials, the study seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of their viability in surgical procedures. By exploring relevant studies and experiments, aspects such as biocompatibility, degradation rate, and the ability to withstand mechanical demands are examined. The comparison with conventional options underscores potential benefits and challenges associated with the adoption of biodegradable tissues, offering valuable insights for plastic surgeons and healthcare professionals.
