Resumo: This article aims to carry out a review of the current medical literature on the relationship between quality of life and satisfaction in users of mucous-supported complete dentures and implant-supported complete dentures. Google Scholar, Scopus and Web of Science indexes were used as search engines for the selection of articles, using the keywords “Quality of life, Satisfaction, Mucus-supported complete denture, Implant-supported complete denture”. It is concluded that users of implant-supported complete dentures have better quality of life and satisfaction with their prostheses, when compared to users of mucous-supported complete dentures. In the last decades a series of studies on the performance of soy phytoestrogens has arisen due to the confirmation of some pharmacological actions regarding the relief of menopausal symptoms in women. Phytoestrogens have represented a promising alternative in the prevention and / or treatment of some hormonal-dependent diseases because they are capable of exerting similar estrogenic activities. Through a bibliographical review, the present work had as objective to correlate the phytoestrogens present in the soybean and its estrogenic and functional properties with the decrease of the symptoms due to climacteric in women of 45 years of age. In this work, we used the following databases: PUBMED, Scielo, Medline, The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology, Scopus and Elsevier, considering the period of the last 5 years using keywords such as: women's health; menopause; climacteric; soy protein; isoflavones; phytoestrogens. After discussion of the data collected, it was concluded that natural hormone replacement therapy using phytoestrogens was favorable and demonstrated efficacy in relation to classic symptoms of menopause, bringing improvements in the quality of life in women who are in the climacteric period. The main results achieved by the research are that soy isoflavones can prevent and mitigate postmenopausal bone loss, osteoporosis, heat waves, vaginal dryness, inactivate cancerous and tumor cells, thus improving the social environment in which these women live. However, a number of issues still need to be answered and further studies must be conducted to clarify their true mechanism of action as well as their efficacy and safety of phytoestrogens to the body.
