Evaluation of postoperative pain in lower molars with periapical lesion in a single session

Resumo: | The objective of the present study was to evaluate postoperative pain in 100 lower molars with chronic apical periodontitis submitted to preparation with the Prodesing Logic system. The prospective observational study included one hundred lower molars that, after clinical and radiographic examination, endodontic treatment was performed: anesthesia and absolute isolation and coronal opening, root canal preparation with the Logic System 2 up to the 25#06 file in the mesial and 40# canals 05 in the distal canals, along the length of the apical foramen, using the Root ZX® apex locator. All procedures were performed by the same operator and performed in a single session. The presence of periapical lesion was analyzed based on clinical and radiographic aspects. Pain was evaluated for a period of 24 and 48 hours. Based on the results, a low incidence of postoperative pain was concluded. |

El estudio observacional prospectivo incluyó cien molares inferiores a los que, previo examen clínico y radiográfico, se les realizó tratamiento endodóntico: anestesia y aislamiento absoluto y apertura coronal, preparación de conductos radiculares con el Logic System 2 hasta la lima 25#06 en mesial y 40 # canales 05 en los canales distales, a lo largo del foramen apical, utilizando el localizador de ápices Root ZX®. Todos los procedimientos fueron realizados por el mismo operador y realizados en una sola sesión. Se analizó la presencia de lesión periapical en base a aspectos clínicos y radiográficos. Se evaluó el dolor por un período de 24 y 48 horas. Con base en los resultados, se concluyó una baja incidencia de dolor postoperatorio.O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar a dor pós-operatória em 100 molares inferiores portadores de periodontite apical crônica submetidos ao preparo com o sistema Prodesing Logic. O estudo observacional prospectivo incluiu cem molares inferiores que após exame clínico e radiográfico, realizou-se o tratamento endodôntico: anestesia e isolamento absoluto e abertura coronária, preparo dos canais radicularescom o Sistema Logic 2 até a lima 25#06 nos canais mesiais e 40#05 nos canais distais, no comprimento do forame apical, utilizando o localizador apical Root ZX®. Todos os procedimentos foram realizados pelo mesmo operador e realizados em sessão única. A presença de lesão periapical foi analisada com base em aspectos clínicos e radiográficos. A dor foi avaliada por um período de 24 e 48h.
