Resumo: Increasing the number of overweight pregnant women has favored increased high-risk gestation rates, so that pre-gestational nutritional status, associated with gestational weight gain, are indispensable for early detection of nutritional risk and obstetric result favorable. The objective of the study was to evaluate nutritional status and weight gain in high-risk pregnant women admitted to a hospital in Recife-PE. As a methodology, the study is transverse, quantitative in nature, with high -risk pregnant women, with gestational age greater than or equal to 37 weeks, admitted at the Hospital das Clínicas, Federal University of Pernambuco, from March to September 2022. Sociodemographic data, anthropometric and clinical data were analyzed. The pre-gestational body mass index classification followed the Institute of Medicine standard and the current BMI followed the curve classification of Atalah et al. Were evaluated 141 high-risk pregnant women were evaluated, with a mean age of 29.15 years, 43.3% between 25 and 34 years. Sociodemographic characteristics revealed a predominance of married/stable union, from the interior of the state of PE, with ≥ 8 years of study, inserted in the labor market, self-reported as non-white. The main comorbidity was gestational hypertensive syndrome (p<0.001). Excess weight was predominant in the pre-pregnancy (79.4%) and gestational (76.6%) periods, which did not reflect on the excessive GPG, occurring proportionally, between adequate, insufficient, and excessive. The studied sample evidenced adult pregnant women, multigestas, with pre and gestational BMI predominant in overweight.

Specialized Dentistry Group2024-02-02info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/136010.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n2p103-114Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 103-114Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 103-114Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 103-1142674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1360/1562Copyright (c) 2024 Gabriella Maria Macedo Ramos da Silva , Andresa Mayara da Silva Santos, Thaís Manuella Moraes dos Santos, Regiane Maio , Maria Goretti Pessoa de Burgoshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMacedo Ramos da Silva , Gabriella Mariada Silva Santos, Andresa MayaraMoraes dos Santos, Thaís ManuellaMaio, RegianeBurgos, Maria Goretti Pessoa de2024-02-02T19:38:59Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1360Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-02-02T19:38:59Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
