Resumo: | Cancer, as the malignant tumor is known, refers to a group of more than 100 diseases that alter cells and grow quickly, disorderly and aggressively. These defective cells cluster together to form tumors, which invade adjacent tissues and organs, sometimes distant from their origin, a phenomenon known as metastasis. This malignant neoplasm is caused by mutation, which alters the genetic structure (DNA) of cells, which, when proliferating, causes cancer. Therefore, the study aims to analyze the pathological physiology of soft tissue sarcomas and examine nursing interventions aimed at preventing this disease. With regard to methodology, it is a bibliographical review of a descriptive nature and a qualitative approach, with analysis of scientific literature that leads us to the research object. The literature selection criteria used were complete articles, published in Portuguese, in the period 2018-2023, and the exclusion criteria were repeated articles, publications with unavailable texts, outside the vernacular language and studies with more than 5 years of publication. publication, outside the time frame in which the following subtitles would emerge: Histopathology of soft tissue sarcomas and Implementation of strategies and prevention against sarcomas. Finally, it is concluded that it is essential to highlight the importance of health education as a primary strategy for preventing soft tissue sarcomas. Through awareness campaigns, information about risk factors, such as exposure to chemical agents, previous radiotherapy and genetic predisposition, can be disseminated to the general population. Furthermore, it is crucial to provide guidance on the importance of self-examination and seeking immediate medical attention in case of suspicious signs and symptoms. |
