Dental radiographs are complementary exams that allow the dental surgeon to investigate some aspects of abnormality between the structures to be analyzed. The correlation with the clinical examination and medical history of the patient is necessary for identification of pathologies, which, in turn, may have characteristics that are similar, but that differ due to their particularities. The general purpose was to analyze the radiographic characteristics of the bones pathologies of the maxillary bones, as well as the knowledge of the dental surgeon about the interpretation of these radiographic findings. Knowing how to interpret radiographs, knowing the etiology and clinical manifestations of these pathologies, correlating with the diagnostic hypotheses, contributes to the correct diagnosis and treatment.
