Resumo: | Hospital Dentistry (OH) is a qualification of Dentistry in which the Dentist is responsible for the treatment of hospitalized patients who have dental problems or oral infections during the hospitalization period. The aim of this study was to analyze and quantify hospital dental care actions in a pediatric hospital. An observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out based on the procedures resulting from the consultations carried out and collected from the dental records idealized for this study. The results showed the completion of 106 heterogeneous dental procedures, with dental consultations totaling 47%, extractions accounting for 38%, restorations representing 10%, and periodontal treatment comprising 3%. Thus, it is concluded that dental treatments can be performed in hospitalized patients, whether in wards, ICUs or surgical centers, allowing an improvement in the general health status of hospitalized pediatric patients. |
