SOCIODEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE OF CHRONIC KIDNEY PATIENTS IN A CITY IN THE INTERIOR OF RONDÔNIA

Resumo: Introduction: Hemodialysis is one of the most used dialysis therapy methods currently, considered by most users as a debilitating experience that generates problems in professional and personal life Objective: To describe the sociodemographic and clinical factors of chronic kidney disease patients in the city of Cacoal, Rondônia. Methodology: This is a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional study, carried out by applying questionnaires to chronic kidney disease patients in a dialysis center located in the interior of Rondônia in the year 2023. For analysis, descriptive statistics were used. Results: The sample included 70 patients undergoing hemodialysis, (62.9%) were men, (64.3%) were over 50 years old, (38.6%) had a family income of less than 2 minimum wages, (50 %) have incomplete primary education, (20%) do not know the etiology of the disease, all interviewees report eating predominantly at home (100%), however, (71.4%) do not follow a nutritional diet. Arterial hypertension was the main etiology of chronic kidney disease (57.1%), a total of (77.1%) reported having no family history of kidney disease, (84.3%) did not practice physical activity, (74, 3%) report not having preserved sexual function, (61.4%) consider themselves healthy people. The predominant vascular access was arteriovenous fistula (74.3%). Conclusion: The findings showed a predominance of males, married, with a low level of education and socioeconomic level. However, this study emphasizes the limitations of physical function, the burden of kidney disease and work status, which influence the biopsychosocial changes of patients with chronic renal failure.

Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, descritivo de corte transversal, realizado a partir da aplicação de questionários à pacientes renais crônicos em um centro de diálise presente no interior de Rondônia no ano de 2023. Para análise, utilizou-se estatística descritiva. Resultados: A amostra englobou 70 pacientes em tratamento hemodialítico, (62,9%) são homens, (64,3%) têm mais de 50 anos, (38,6%) com renda familiar inferior que 2 salários-mínimos, (50%) possuem ensino fundamental incompleto, (20%) não sabem qual a etiologia da doença, todos os entrevistados relatam se alimentar predominantemente em casa (100%), porém, (71,4%) não segue dieta nutricional. A hipertensão arterial foi a principal etiologia da doença renal crônica (57,1%), um total de (77,1%) relatou não ter histórico familiar da doença renal, (84,3%) não praticam atividade física, (74,3%) relatam não ter função sexual preservada, (61,4%) se-consideram pessoas saudáveis. O acesso vascular predominante foi a fístula-arteriovenosa (74,3%). Conclusão: Os achados encontrados apontaram uma predominância do sexo masculino, casados, baixo grau de escolaridade e nível socioeconômicos.
