Resumo: Tetralogy of Fallot (T4F) is the most common congenital heart disease, and presents the functional and/or structural impairment of organs affecting the nutritional status of children with carriers, however few studies evaluate the nutritional effects of T4F. About eight out of every 1000 live births in the world are born with some type of cardiac malformation, which makes them the most common form of malformation present at birth. The objective was to evaluate the nutritional profile of children with congenital t4f heart disease in the city of Patos-PB. It was a descriptive, exploratory and retrospective study of 17 medical records containing the demographic, clinical, anthropometric and nutritional variables of cardiac children, from 0 to 10 years old, of both sexes attended in the Cardiology Care Unit of the Circle of the Heart Project, at Banco de Leite - annexed to Dr. Peregrino Filho Maternity, in the municipality of Patos- Paraíba. The collections were performed two days a week during the months of September to October 2019. Of the 17 medical records analyzed, 7 (41.18%) were male children and 10 (58.82%) thus, thus configuring the greatest involvement of children with T4F in this study in females. The age group between 0 and 24 months of males presented mean body mass of 7.88 ±1.94 kg, while female sums of 5.12 ±2.29 kg. It is concluded that there is a impairment of nutritional status in some of the children studied and that the incidence of weight hypodevelopment evidenced in this study is lower than that reported in the literature because the mean anthropometric indices in percentiles and Z scores found were within the range of nutritional normality.
