Resumo: The synthesis of silver nanoparticles stabilized in Bauhinia forficata extract can, in principle, present biocompatible properties, allowing its use for remediation of diabetes mellitus. In this context, the objective of this work was to develop silver nanoparticles stabilized in Bauhinia Forficata extract through green synthesis. To prepare the silver nanoparticles, 1000 mL of a 1.0 mmol.L-1 silver nitrate solution was heated under magnetic stirring on a heating plate until it boiled. When the boiling temperature was reached, 2 mL of 1% sodium citrate was mixed with the silver nitrate solution. The mixture changed color until it turned yellow. This coloration indicates the reduction of silver with formation of nanoparticles. After synthesis, the aqueous extract of Bauhinia Forficata leaves previously produced for stabilization was added to the solution containing the nanoparticles. The characterization of the obtained and stabilized nanoparticles was performed by UV-Vis spectroscopy. Readings were taken in the wavelength range of 200 to 600 nm. The results obtained showed that the synthesized nanoparticles presented an absorption peak with a wavelength around 400 nm, which shows the formation of silver on a manometric scale with spherical morphology and an estimated average particle size between 10 and 14 nm. Therefore, it can be seen that the aqueous extract of Bauhinia Forficata leaves was efficient in the stabilization process of Ag NPs through green synthesis.

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-09-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/49310.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n4p1569-1593Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 4 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 1569-1593Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 4 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 1569-1593Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 4 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 1569-15932674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/493/834Copyright (c) 2023 Eduardo Feitosa da Conceição , Maria Inilda Rocha de Albuquerques, Tacyane Araújo da Silva, Raíssa Gomes da Silva, Verônica Inácio de Oliveira, Deuzuita dos Santos Freitas Viana, Vicente Galber Freitas Vianahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessConceição , Eduardo Feitosa daAlbuquerques, Maria Inilda Rocha deSilva, Tacyane Araújo daSilva, Raíssa Gomes daOliveira, Verônica Inácio deViana, Deuzuita dos Santos FreitasViana, Vicente Galber Freitas2023-10-18T22:00:43Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/493Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-10-18T22:00:43Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
