Resumo: Covid-19, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, has emerged as a global pandemic, impacting public health, economies and societies around the world. Covid-19, in addition to its characteristic respiratory symptoms, has also been shown to have significant impacts on the cardiovascular system. In view of this, the study was carried out with the aim of elucidating the cardiovascular damage caused by Covid-19. To develop this literature review, searches were carried out in the SciELO, PubMed and VHL databases.  The search for related works was carried out using the descriptors "Cardiovascular Damage" and "Post Covid-19" in Portuguese and English. As a result, the main cardiovascular damages were hemorrhagic cardiac tamponade, fulminant cardiogenic shock, right ventricular failure, acute pericarditis, acute myocarditis and, above all, acute myocardial infarction. We therefore conclude that it is extremely important to monitor this damage in order to further reduce the impact on patients' quality of life.

We therefore conclude that it is extremely important to monitor this damage in order to further reduce the impact on patients' quality of life. Specialized Dentistry Group2024-01-05info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/120510.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n1p239-248Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 1 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 239-248Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 1 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 239-248Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 1 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 239-2482674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1205/1369Copyright (c) 2024 Rafael Leão Carmo , Geovanna Maria Gonçalves Nascimento , Junia Nunes Pacheco , Natália Quinan Bittar Nunes , Thatyana Siqueira Gonçalves, Guilherme Cristovam Pina , Roberta Perillo Barbosa , Paulo Roberto Nunes Filho, Jordanna Porto Inácio , Brena Terra Crespo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Carmo , Rafael LeãoNascimento , Geovanna Maria GonçalvesPacheco , Junia NunesNunes , Natália Quinan BittarGonçalves, Thatyana SiqueiraPina , Guilherme CristovamBarbosa , Roberta Perillo Filho, Paulo Roberto NunesInácio , Jordanna PortoCrespo , Brena Terra2024-01-05T20:49:07Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1205Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-01-05T20:49:07Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
