Objective: The study aimed to analyze vaccination coverage among students at a medical school in Northern Paraná and assess their specific knowledge about HPV, including its pathogen nature, mode of transmission, prevention, and reasons for vaccine refusal. This will enable the development of strategies for better awareness among parents and guardians. Methods: A quantitative exploratory research was conducted among students from the 1st to the 4th year of medical school, using a questionnaire about the virus and vaccination. After collecting the data, they were analyzed and grouped into tables. Results: The study involved 480 students. A decrease in vaccination rates over the years was observed. In contrast, knowledge about HPV increased. Conclusion: Based on the results obtained, it was possible to infer that the COVID-19 pandemic played a significant role in the students' learning. Despite limitations, the study provides relevant information.
