The evolution of therapeutic approaches in heart failure represents a significant milestone in contemporary clinical practice. Faced with this complex medical condition, recent advancements have provided a range of pharmacological options that promise not only symptomatic relief but also substantial improvements in the quality of life for affected patients. This study undertakes a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of these therapeutic innovations, aiming not only for a detailed understanding of each intervention but also for their practical applicability in the clinical context. To achieve this goal, an integrative literature review was meticulously conducted, involving a careful search for scientific articles in indexed databases. Each reference was evaluated in terms of relevance and contemporaneity, selecting studies that not only investigated the effectiveness of different approaches but also stood out for their innovative role in the therapeutic landscape of heart failure. The organization of references followed the rigorous Vancouver style, thus ensuring the precision and integrity of the review. Among the interventions identified as fundamental pillars in the treatment of heart failure, impressive advancements stand out, such as neprilysin inhibitor therapy, which has demonstrated not only efficacy in symptom improvement but also a substantial impact on disease progression. Furthermore, the evolution of ventricular assist devices represents a remarkable leap in the management of advanced heart failure, providing patients with a more optimistic outlook regarding their condition. This integrative review not only reveals the wide range of pharmacological interventions available for the treatment of heart failure but also emphasizes the need for a truly individualized and multidisciplinary approach. The customization of treatment, taking into account the clinical particularities and unique characteristics of each patient, emerges as an essential pillar in optimizing therapeutic outcomes. Moreover, the ongoing vigilance of the long-term safety and efficacy of pharmacological interventions presents itself as an inalienable responsibility in the care of these patients.
