Resumo: This article aims to present the potentialities and challenges in the performance of the multidisciplinary health team in a hospital environment. This is an integrative literature review, thus making it possible to structure the following guiding question: “What are the potentialities and challenges encountered in the performance of the multidisciplinary team in a hospital environment?”. A survey was carried out through the electronic library, the Virtual Health Library, and the following databases were selected: Databases in Nursing, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and Medical Literatures Analysis and Retrieval System Online. After applying the eligibility criteria, 8 selected articles were used in total, as it satisfactorily addresses the potentialities and challenges encountered in the performance of the multidisciplinary team in a hospital environment. The results point to findings that emphasize the importance of feeling psychologically safe and having low interpersonal conflict for health teams to be effective, in addition to not assuming the expertise of team members. In this way, it was seen that greater psychological safety among multidisciplinary health teams can present a greater ability to contribute professional knowledge in a team where other professionals trust this knowledge and expect to receive it. Therefore, the present study presented the main potentialities and challenges found in the performance of the multidisciplinary team in a hospital environment, considering several problems between the multidisciplinary team and its performance.

Se trata de una revisión integradora de la literatura, que permite estructurar la siguiente pregunta orientadora: “¿Cuáles son las potencialidades y desafíos encontrados en el desempeño del equipo multidisciplinario en el ambiente hospitalario?”. Se realizó una encuesta a través de la biblioteca electrónica, la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud, y se seleccionaron las siguientes bases de datos: Bases de Datos en Enfermería, Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud y Sistema de Análisis y Recuperación de Literatura Médica en Línea. Después de aplicar los criterios de elegibilidad, se utilizaron en total 8 artículos seleccionados, ya que abordan satisfactoriamente las potencialidades y desafíos encontrados en el desempeño del equipo multidisciplinario en el ambiente hospitalario. Los resultados apuntan a hallazgos que enfatizan la importancia de sentirse psicológicamente seguro y tener bajo conflicto interpersonal para que los equipos de salud sean efectivos, además de no asumir la experiencia de los miembros del equipo. De esta manera, se vio que una mayor seguridad psicológica entre equipos de salud multidisciplinarios puede presentar una mayor capacidad para aportar conocimiento profesional en un equipo donde otros profesionales confían en ese conocimiento y esperan recibirlo. Por lo tanto, el presente estudio presentó las principales potencialidades y desafíos encontrados en el desempeño del equipo multidisciplinario en el ambiente hospitalario, considerando varios problemas entre el equipo multidisciplinario y su desempeño.Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar as potencialidades e desafios na atuação da equipe multiprofissional em saúde em ambiente hospitalar. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, foi possível assim estruturar a seguinte pergunta norteadora: “Quais as potencialidades e desafios encontrados na atuação da equipe multiprofissional em um ambiente hospitalar?”. Foi feito um levantamento através da biblioteca eletrônica sendo a Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, sendo selecionada as seguintes bases de dados: Bases de Dados em Enfermagem, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde  e Medical Literatures Analysis and Retrieval System Online. Após a aplicação dos critérios de elegibilidade foram utilizados 8 artigos selecionados ao total, pois, o mesmo aborda de forma satisfatória as potencialidades e desafios encontrados na atuação da equipe multiprofissional em um ambiente hospitalar. Os resutados apontam achados que enfatizam a importância de se sentir psicologicamente seguro e ter baixo conflito interpessoal para que as equipes de saúde sejam eficazes, além de não assumir a expertise dos membros da equipe. Dessa forma, foi visto que uma maior segurança psicológica entre as equipes multiprofissionais de saúde pode aprrsentar maior capacidade de contribuir com conhecimentos profissionais numa equipa onde outros profissionais confiam nesse conhecimento e esperam recebê-lo.
