Resumo: The twin pregnancy or multiple pregnancy represents about 2% of the total births that occur in the world per year. It is popularly classified, based on the similarity between the conceptuses, as identical or fraternal, but for science this factor is not decisive to indicate the types of pregnancy. For embryology, the science that studies embryonic development, the arrangement and quantity of embryonic annexes that surround the embryos make it possible to distinguish twinning and the degree of genetic and/or physical similarity between them. Currently, pregnancies are classified into diamniotic dichorionic, diamniotic monochorionic and monoamniotic monochorionic. In this regard, this study aimed to evaluate people's understanding of the types of twin pregnancies and the way they develop, before and after the application of an explanatory video on the subject. Thus, technological tools were used to develop a pedagogical video, which was transmitted to a heterogeneous group selected at random, with the exception of students and professionals in the field of medicine, of 100 people. Furthermore, questionnaires were applied to quantify the desired objective. Therefore, the analysis of the results obtained showed that most of the evaluated participants gained greater knowledge after watching the educational video prepared by the authors. Hence, it is evident the importance of applying a pedagogical material for the formation of knowledge through subsumer concepts.

Therefore, the analysis of the results obtained showed that most of the evaluated participants gained greater knowledge after watching the educational video prepared by the authors. Hence, it is evident the importance of applying a pedagogical material for the formation of knowledge through subsumer concepts. Specialized Dentistry Group2024-04-12info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/191110.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n4p1231-1250Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - IMPACT FACTOR SJIF 5.807; 1231-1250Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - FATOR DE IMPACTO SJIF 5.807; 1231-1250Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 4 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3 - FATOR DE IMPACTO SJIF 5.807; 1231-12502674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1911/2128Copyright (c) 2024 Carlos Henrique Pinto Missioneiro, Hosana de Araujo Almeida, Maria Fernanda Piffer Tomasi Baldez da Silvahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPinto Missioneiro, Carlos Henriquede Araujo Almeida, HosanaPiffer Tomasi Baldez da Silva, Maria Fernanda2024-04-12T21:39:15Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1911Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-04-12T21:39:15Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
