Resumo: Introduction: According to the José Alencar Gomes da Silva National Cancer Institute - NCI (2019), breast cancer in Brazil is the most common malignant neoplasm and the one that most leads to death of women with 16% of deaths, second only to cardiovascular diseases (28%). Objective: Describe breast cancer mortality in Brazil and in the state of Acre between 2010 and 2019.Method: Descriptive exploratory study of ecological type and historical series analyzing deaths and mortality rate from breast cancer in Brazil and in the state of Acre from 2010 to 2019 locating data from DATASUS/TABNET and MIS (Mortality Information System). Results: The total number of deaths from breast cancer in Brazil between the years 2010 to 2019 was 153,928. Conclusion: Most deaths occurred in individuals aged 80 years or older and females. It is extremely important to know the national and regional epidemiological profile of breast cancer, to increase the screening capacity as well as the chances of cure by improving the response time between diagnosis and the start of treatment, and decreasing mortality rates.

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-11-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/93110.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n5p3665-3677Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3665-3677Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3665-3677Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3665-36772674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/931/1047Copyright (c) 2023 Pedro Henrique Vercoza De Oliveira, Sidney Rogério Alves Oliveira, Orly Coelho Salomão, Gustavo Lima Niemeyer, Derick Pedrosa Pachá, Júlia Marçal de Vasconcelos Gonçalveshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessOliveira, Pedro Henrique Vercoza DeOliveira, Sidney Rogério AlvesSalomão, Orly CoelhoNiemeyer, Gustavo LimaPachá, Derick PedrosaGonçalves, Júlia Marçal de Vasconcelos2023-11-23T12:04:40Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/931Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-11-23T12:04:40Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
