This article addresses the different surgical techniques used in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms, highlighting their indications, complications, and long-term outcomes. The introduction presents the main characteristics and complications associated with abdominal aortic aneurysms, emphasizing the importance of early surgical intervention to prevent rupture and its severe consequences. The methodology describes the search and article selection methods used, including electronic databases and inclusion/exclusion criteria. The results highlight the various surgical approaches, such as open repair, endovascular repair, and hybrid repair, comparing their success rates, morbidity, and perioperative mortality. It is concluded that the choice of surgical technique should be individualized for each patient, considering their vascular anatomy, comorbidities, and preferences, aiming to optimize outcomes and reduce complications.
