ENDODONTIC RETREATMENT WITH PRODESIGN LOGIC RT: RETRATAMIENTO DE ENDODONCIA

Resumo: | The aim of this study was to describe the endodontic retreatment of a maxillary premolar with two root canals using the Easy ProDesign Logic RT system. In the clinical examination, the presence of a fistula was observed and, therefore, an accessory cone of gutta-percha FF was introduced in it in order to carry out radiographic tracking. After radiographic examination, diffuse periapical bone destruction was noticed, suggesting chronic dentoalveolar abscess. The retreatment preparation was carried out according to the protocol described by the Easy ProDesign Logic RT system and root canal obturation was performed in the same session using the single cone technique (Bassi®). The cones were cut with a hot Paiva condenser and active vertical condensation with a cold Paiva condenser. After obturation, the gutta-percha residues present in the pulp chamber were removed with cotton and 70% alcohol and a provisional restoration was performed with glass ionomer (Riva Light Cure, SDI® – Victoria, Australia). |

En el examen clínico se observó la presencia de una fístula por lo que se introdujo en ella un cono accesorio de gutapercha FF para realizar seguimiento radiográfico. Después del examen radiográfico, se observó destrucción ósea periapical difusa, lo que sugiere un absceso dentoalveolar crónico. La preparación del retratamiento se realizó según el protocolo descrito por el sistema Easy ProDesign Logic RT y la obturación de los conductos radiculares se realizó en la misma sesión mediante la técnica de cono único (Bassi®). Los conos fueron cortados con un condensador de Paiva caliente y condensación vertical activa con un condensador de Paiva frío. Luego de la obturación, los residuos de gutapercha presentes en la cámara pulpar se eliminaron con algodón y alcohol al 70% y se realizó una restauración provisional con ionómero de vidrio (Riva Light Cure, SDI® – Victoria, Australia). O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever o retratamento endodôntico de um pré-molar superior, portador de dois canais radiculares com o sistema Easy ProDesign Logic RT. No exame clínico, observou-se a presença de fístula e sendo assim foi introduzida na mesma um cone acessório de guta-percha FF com o intuito de realizar o rastreamento radiográfico. Após o exame radiográfico, percebeu-se destruição óssea periapical difusa, sugerindo abscesso dentoalveolar crônico. O preparo do retratamento foi feito de acordo com o protocolo descrito pelo sistema Easy ProDesign Logic RT e a obturação dos canais radiculares foi realizada na mesma sessão utilizando da técnica de cone único (Bassi®). Foi feito o corte dos cones com condensador de Paiva quente e a condensação vertical ativa com condensador de Paiva frio.
