Resumo: The composition of a smile is directly related to the patient’s self-esteem. In light of this, current implant therapy aims to balance oral functions, harmonizing both white and pink aesthetics and providing total smile rehabilitation. Consequently, it is possible to engage in implantology in conjunction with periodontics to correct gingival defects through autogenous connective tissue graft surgeries. This study aims to elucidate different grafting techniques and demonstrate comparisons between autogenous and allogeneic grafts. Mastering this subject allows the dentist to plan and execute procedures correctly for each case, which provides a promising outcome and patient satisfaction.

Por lo tanto, es posible trabajar en implantología en conjunto con la periodoncia para corregir los defectos gingivales mediante cirugías de injertos autógenos de tejido conectivo. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo dilucidar las diferentes técnicas de injerto, así como demostrar comparaciones entre injertos autógenos y alogénicos. El dominio de esta materia permite al odontólogo planificar y ejecutar correctamente cada caso, garantizando un resultado prometedor y la satisfacción del paciente.A composição do sorriso está diretamente relacionada à autoestima do paciente, diante disso, a terapia implantar atual busca equilibrar as funções orais, harmonizando as estéticas branca e rosa e conferindo reabilitação integral do sorriso. Sendo assim, é possível atuar na implantodontia em conjunto com a periodontia de modo a corrigir defeitos gengivais por meio das cirurgias de enxerto de tecido conjuntivo autógeno. O presente trabalho visa elucidar as diferentes técnicas de enxertia, bem como demonstrar os comparativos entre enxertos autógenos e alógenos.
