In addition, the prognosis of pain in burn patients largely depends on the way in which their physical and psychological pain is taken into account by professionals who participate in the rehabilitation process, and a real understanding of these pains is essential in order to prevent traumatic pain. becomes psychologically aggravated (SANTANA LCB, ET AL, 2019). The General Objective: of the research is to analyze the challenges of nursing and its primary role in the care of patients with third-degree burns, emphasizing the use of adequate dressings for a successful recovery. Methodology: Thisis an exploratory, descriptive study carried out through a literature review. The data was collected based on publications until September 2023 related to third-degree burns and their coverage used, in the database: BvS Regional Portal (virtual health library). The time frame for searching for studies was an interval of 13 years, covering the period 2010 to 2023.
