Resumo: Objective: To demonstrate through the literature the importance of dehospitalization strategies for psychiatric emergencies as a catalyst for an effective collective health model. Methodology: A robust and systematic search was conducted on the following electronic health platforms: PubMed, Scopus, Scielo. Using combined Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) such as "Emergency Medicine," "Preventive Psychiatry," "Community Psychiatry," "Mental Health," "Psychiatry," "Public Health," "Psychiatric Hospital Unit," and "Psychiatric Hospitals" in Portuguese, English, and Spanish languages. Results: The reformulation of the mental health model focuses on decentralization and promotes the creation of community centers, preventive emphasis from childhood, and the gradual transition from hospital-based approaches to community-based therapies. Ensuring equitable access, integrating peer experiences, and implementing continuous monitoring and encouragement of innovation consolidate a holistic and community-centered approach, shaping collective health to transform mental health care. Final considerations: In conclusion, dehospitalization strategies in psychiatric emergencies, by focusing on integrated community approaches, active community participation, and early intervention, not only redefine the provision of mental health care but also promote a fundamental shift towards more inclusive and individual-centered models. By decentralizing care, reducing stigma, strengthening support networks, and implementing proactive interventions, these strategies address not only immediate crises but also contribute to sustainable improvement in collective health, fostering a more resilient, understanding, and mentally well-committed society.

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-12-10info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/106410.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n5p5064-5081Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 5064-5081Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 5064-5081Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 5064-50812674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1064/1194Copyright (c) 2023 Hosana Maria Araújo Rêgo, Karina Machado Gama, Gabriela Biazon Kondo , Izabela Zocchi de Moraes , Munike Tomazini dos Reis , Guilherme Vaz Silva , Yasmin Cavalcanti Braga , Bárbara Manha Utino, Tiago Marinho Rodrigues, Gabriel Lucena Diniz , Henrique Canevari Barros, Francisco Henrique Da Silva Beltrão, Giovanna Ocampo ALves , Marcela Teixeira Braga Bastos, Sthephania Katarinny Guedes de Oliveirahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Rêgo, Hosana Maria AraújoGama, Karina MachadoKondo , Gabriela BiazonMoraes , Izabela Zocchi deReis , Munike Tomazini dosSilva , Guilherme VazBraga , Yasmin CavalcantiUtino, Bárbara ManhaRodrigues, Tiago MarinhoDiniz , Gabriel LucenaBarros, Henrique CanevariBeltrão, Francisco Henrique Da Silva ALves , Giovanna OcampoBastos, Marcela Teixeira BragaOliveira, Sthephania Katarinny Guedes de2023-12-11T00:21:17Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1064Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-12-11T00:21:17Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
