Teenage pregnancy is one of the great challenges that society faces today and is, therefore, a social problem that should not become just a health system problem and, therefore, requires intervention from all sectors. Teenage pregnancy is a reality very close to everyone and occurs for several factors and reasons, but the most important is the lack of education and information. Pregnancy in this age group presents many challenges for the mother, the fetus and the responsible medical team. The objectives are: Identify the challenges that young people face during pregnancy and the role of breastfeeding in these situations, research at a scientific level is understood as a process of rational origin and carried out systematically, whose main objective is to provide answers and information to issues raised and observed. In this context, investigation as a methodological approach is a comprehensive review, which is clearly a literature study that aims to compile multiple studies drawn from scientific research with the aim of "obtaining a systematic picture of the problem or problem information”. Therefore, the Quantitative sampling of scientific research will be done through national and international databases indexed on the main platforms, such as: Virtual Health Library - VHL (SciELO, LILACS and BDENF); PUBMED (MEDLINE, SEREIA). To complement the results and discussion, we collected 1,314 articles from the total number of searches carried out. Therefore, we conclude that this study is extremely important as a contribution to the search for knowledge and information on the topic covered, which will help to broaden the understanding of teenage pregnancy and its risks, complementing health professionals and thus favoring more assistance, and disseminating useful information at a social and professional level.
