Resumo: Introduction: Stroke is a focal and/or global neurological impairment that occurs due to a sudden change in cerebral blood flow. Stroke can cause sensory, motor and cognitive impairments and sequelae, generating deficits in individuals' functional capacity and independence. Dual-task cognitive-motor training is a therapeutic method capable of promoting the recovery of motor and cognitive functions from neurological damage, aiming to return functionality and improve the quality of life of these individuals. Objective: To analyze the benefits that post-stroke neurological patients gain from treatment by implementing dual-task cognitive-motor training. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review using the PubMed and PEDro databases. Results: Regarding the research quantity, 314 articles on the topic were identified in the aforementioned databases. Subsequently, 304 articles were excluded according to the exclusion criteria adopted in the present work. Through the search methods, 10 studies were identified that met the inclusion criteria. Final considerations: Dual-task cognitive-motor training demonstrates positive results and proves to be a highly effective intervention strategy to be incorporated into the physical therapy treatment of patients who have suffered a stroke.

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-11-16info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/88210.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n5p3081-3094Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3081-3094Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3081-3094Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 3081-30942674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/882/996Copyright (c) 2023 Sara Rebeca da Silva Alves, Poliana Mesquita de Almeida , Guilherme Cezar Lobato Afonso , Michael Araújo Alves , Rosileide Alves Livramento https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAlves, Sara Rebeca da Silva Almeida , Poliana Mesquita de Afonso , Guilherme Cezar Lobato Alves , Michael AraújoLivramento , Rosileide Alves2023-11-16T16:24:48Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/882Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-11-16T16:24:48Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
