Resumo: | Agroforestry systems are forms of land use that combine woody tree species with agricultural crops and / or animals, simultaneously or in time, in economic and ecological interaction. Family farmers in the Amazon benefit from economic and ecological gains when managing various productive arrangements in agroforestry systems, being, therefore, a reference for stimulating this research that sought to identify and analyze agroforestry systems with potential income generation for artisanal fishermen who suffer with a sharp reduction in income in the months of the year when they are subject to restrictions on fishing, a time known as the closed season. The research was based on a case study with a semi-structured questionnaire and field visits based on the “snowball” methodology. During the research, ten SAF experiences were observed, among which two systems were considered promising for fishermen because they provide a significant increase in income in the period of desire, as are systems with management requirements (labor and knowledge). , appropriate to the local conditions of fishermen. Such systems are "Cacaueiro em Sistema Cabrunca" and "Açaizeiro em Quintal Agroflorestal", respectively with income of R $ 8,530.40/year and R $ 10,215.00/year. |
