Community Supported Agriculture: another look at agriculture

Resumo: The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a global movement that brings together consumers and farmers around the same ideal: to offer a new form of economy, in a joint action for the production and marketing of food. Thus, to better understand this movement, we propose to investigate the work done by CSA Nossa Horta, an association located in the city of Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais), which contributes to the construction of a differentiated network for the production and commercialization of food, as well as to analyze the relationships established therein. For this, we opted for qualitative research as a methodological approach, using semi-structured interviews and participant observation. The results showed that CSA Nossa Horta, besides supporting agroecological production and short marketing circuits, seeks greater involvement of its members in its management, besides encouraging and strengthening the relationships of proximity and solidarity between those who produce and those who consume, developing another look for agriculture.

Así, para comprender mejor este movimiento, proponemos investigar el trabajo realizado por la CSA Nossa Horta, una asociación localizada en la ciudad de Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais), que contribuye a la construcción de una red diferenciada de producción y comercialización de alimentos, así como analizar las relaciones que en ella se establecen. Para tanto, optamos por la investigación cualitativa como orientación metodológica, utilizando la entrevista semiestructurada y la observación participante. Los resultados mostraron que CSA Nossa Horta, además de apoyar la producción agroecológica y los circuitos cortos de comercialización, busca mayor participación de sus asociados en su gestión, además de fomentar y fortalecer las relaciones de proximidad y solidaridad entre quien produce y quien consume, desarrollando otra mirada para la agricultura.A Comunidade que Sustenta a Agricultura (CSA) é um movimento global que reúne consumidores e agricultores em torno de um mesmo ideal: oferecer uma nova forma de economia, numa atuação conjunta para a produção e comercialização de alimentos. Assim, para melhor conhecer esse movimento, propomos como objetivo investigar o trabalho realizado pela CSA Nossa Horta, uma associação sem fins lucrativos localizada na cidade de Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais), que contribui para potencializar a construção de uma rede diferenciada de produção e comercialização de alimentos, bem como analisar as relações nela estabelecidas. Para tanto, optamos pela pesquisa qualitativa como orientação metodológica, utilizando a entrevista semiestruturada e a observação participante.
