Implementation of the reflective portfolio in multidisciplinary residency programs of the Brazil´s Unified Health System: experience report

Resumo: Health residency programs are vitally important for strengthening the Unified Health System, ensuring the training of professionals who promote the principles of universality, equity and comprehensiveness. In this context, the objective of this work is to describe the implementation and development of the reflective portfolio as a learning and formative assessment instrument. To this end, a qualitative, descriptive, experience report study was carried out on the implementation of the reflective portfolio in multidisciplinary health residency programs at a large hospital in the city of Salvador-BA. The discussion on the application of the reflective portfolio made it possible to experience formative assessment from a mediating perspective, bringing new perspectives from both tutors and preceptors, as well as residents/students themselves. Furthermore, through its application, it was possible to promote adjustments in residency programs, allowing improvements in programmatic content. It is therefore concluded that the reflective portfolio is an active methodology that enables the development of skills and competencies for the resident to work in the fields of practice.

Para tanto, foi feito um estudo qualitativo, descritivo, do tipo relato de experiência acerca da implantação do portfólio reflexivo nos programas de residência multiprofissional em saúde de um hospital de grande porte na cidade de Salvador-BA. A discussão sobre a aplicação do portfólio reflexivo possibilitou a vivência da avaliação formativa a partir da perspectiva mediadora, trazendo novos olhares tanto dos tutores e preceptores, quanto dos próprios residentes/educandos, além disso, a partir de sua aplicação, foi possível promover ajustes nos programas de residência, permitindo melhorias no conteúdo programático.
