Resumo: The pandemic scenario causes psychological and social disturbances that affect the whole society and its ability to face it. Thus, fear and insecurity can disrupt the work processes underdevelopment. The objective of this study is to report the experience of the School of Public Health Professor Jorge Novis with the offer of the educational action entitled “Guidelines for Self-Care in the Context of Covid-19”. The short course was structured in modules, expecting the educational levels of the School's professionals. Classes were held from May to June 2020 in person, divided into classes with a limit of up to ten people. There was a large participation of professionals in the areas of Reception, Ordinance, Patrimonial Surveillance and Sanitation from outsourced companies, the proposal to build a Roadmap for Assessing Working Conditions also derived from this process. The effort in developing these actions allowed us to see weaknesses in the process of training and qualifying outsourced professionals with regard to the pandemic, in addition to highlighting situations not consistent with the Anvisa Manual in the structure and organization of the School of Public Health. The results promote reflections on the criteria for contracting outsourced companies and their commitment to contractors, workers and the professionals themselves. Permanent Education in Health becomes an ally of actions to fight the pandemic and serves as a “thermometer”, by allowing their problems to be identified, allowing for the development of new interventions.

Permanent Education in Health becomes an ally of actions to fight the pandemic and serves as a “thermometer”, by allowing their problems to be identified, allowing for the development of new interventions.
