Introduction: This essay emerges from a scientific proposal that aims to produce theorized reflections on the assistance practices of welcoming produced by health professionals with Venezuelan migrant women in primary care. Objective: To reflect on the welcoming of Venezuelan migrant women in primary care. Material and Methods: This is a theoretical-reflective essay. It is emphasized that in this type of study, the production of reflections runs through the understanding of a given object without a rigid understanding system in it. Results: The reflections were grouped into a theoretical-reflective nucleus, entitled: foundations for thinking about welcoming Venezuelan migrant women in primary care. Concepts and reflections are found in it that touch on primary care, migration, migratory processes involving Venezuelan women, and strategies for welcoming. Conclusions: Reflective (in)conclusions to intensify investigations involve readings of everyday life in healthcare work. In this sense, it is essential to observe three conceptual and reflective routes that are fundamentally necessary to care for Venezuelan migrant women in a welcoming manner in primary care, namely: qualified listening, bond, and expanded clinical approach of the subject; as a way of promoting assistance aligned with the principles and guidelines of the national policy of humanization.
