Resumo: In periods of humanitarian crisis or major disasters, work fronts must be organized in an agile way to assist the affected populations. Several conditions of suffering can evolve to manifest mental disorders. In the state of Bahia, the Directorate for Management of Education and Work in Health structured the Psychological Reception Center for Workers of the Health /department of the State of Bahia (Sesab), in partnership with other sectors. This work reports the experience of the multiprofessional team designated to compose the center, its implementation and organization of the work processes developed during the pandemic period. This is a descriptive approach, using document analysis techniques, from April to October 2020. The provision of psychosocial, emergency and remote care was aligned considering technical procedures for professional support in health crises and the SUS Humanization Policy. All workers infected with Covid-19 were offered remote care, followed by four psychotherapy sessions. Workers that needed more sessions were referred to Integral Workers Health Care Service (Siast), to other services and or to attend Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS). The multiprofessional team held weekly meetings and maintained contact with the units’ Siast. Remote care promoted welcoming and enabled the listening to workers that presented symptoms of psychological distress or individual and social vulnerability conditions. It is recommended the strengthening of this support experience and extended to other health regions in the state.
