Resumo: | This study seeks to identify the clinical profile of mothers with hypertensive syndromes in pregnancy (HSP) and their neonates, characterizing the sociodemographic and obstetrical profile of the mother and describing the neonatal clinical conditions at birth. This is a descriptive, cross - sectional study with a quantitative approach, based on 190 medical records of mothers that had their deliveries performed in two maternity hospitals for high-risk deliveries in the state of Alagoas, Brazil, and their respective neonates. The mothers were mostly young, brown, multiparous, with delivery by caesarean section. The most common HSP was preeclampsia; cases of eclampsia and HELLP syndrome were also found. The neonates, born with the adequate weight and apgar score greater/equal to 7, among which 52.63% presented intercurrence at birth, among them the respiratory distress syndrome. The maternal clinical and obstetrical profile is affected; however, the neonatal outcome was considered positive in this pathology, therefore the importance of qualified prenatal care, minimizing risks and avoiding complications by preventive measures. |
