Resumo: | Introduction: The reduced set is an important tool for the preparation of the football player. Has not been demonstrated in the literature about it. If only the training through the reduced games is able to generate an overload ideal for developing the strength needed for the game. Objective: To quantify the acute impact of different forms of training through the reduced games in the ability to generate power in football players. Materials and Methods: This is an analytical study of experimentalintervention where subjects were classified into two groups that Performed the training session and games reduced after completion of the training session, both groups returned to perform a battery of tests the RAST. Results: For both, group 1 and group 2, there was an improvement in the indices of maximum power in the post workout. However, there were no statistically significant differences for any variable above. Although in both groups the increases in power levels have been noticeable, the values of maximum power after the training session were higher for group 1 compared to the values of post workout group 2. Inversely proportional to this, the values of fatigue index were higher in group 2 when compared with values in group 1. Discussion: The increases induced by the reduced set in both situations can be justified by biochemical, physiological and metabolic factors. Conclusion: It is concluded that both forms of the game are able to induce small noticeable increases, although not significant in the ability to generate maximum power in football players in an acute period post game. However, we noticed a more significant increase when there was reduced set lower. |
