Resumo: | This article aims to analyze the films "The Three Fat Men" (1963, 1966), as well as the homonymous literary work published in 1927 of these film adaptations, by the Soviet Yuri Olesha, as primary sources of the history of obesity. Methodologically, besides being a historical study, it was also characterized as a multiple case study. For the analysis of the material, the discursive analysis of the enunciation was used. For the data collection, the book was read and watched the movies, identifying excerpts that were considered relevant. After the analyzes, the results allowed to constitute statements that composed a discursive formation in which the fat ones are gluttons, rich, powerful and brave. Although it is a piece of Communist propaganda, this discursive formation diverges from the bourgeois-fat, identified in other historical sources, since the three fat men were more resemble to feudal lords than to bourgeois, in the restricted sense of this term in the Marxist doctrine. Thus, it was concluded that the materials are primary sources relevant to the history of obesity in both literature and cinema. |

Para el análisis del material se utilizó el análisis discursivo de la enunciación. Para la recolección de datos, primero se leyó el libro y luego se visionaron las películas, identificando fragmentos que se consideraron relevantes. Después de los análisis, los resultados permitieron la construcción de enunciados que componían una formación discursiva en la que los gordos son glotones, ricos, poderosos y valientes. Aunque se trata de una pieza de propaganda comunista, esta formación discursiva se aparta del gordo burgués, identificado en otras fuentes históricas, ya que los tres gordos se parecían más a señores feudales que a burgueses, en el sentido estricto de este término en la doctrina marxista. Así, finalmente, se concluyó que los materiales son fuentes primarias relevantes para la historia de la obesidad tanto en la literatura como en el cine.Il presente articolo intendeva analizzare i film “I tre ciccioni”, del 1963 e del 1966, nonché l'omonima opera letteraria, pubblicata nel 1927, di questi adattamenti cinematografici, a cura del sovietico Yuri Olesha, come fonti primarie della storia di obesità. Metodologicamente, oltre ad essere uno studio storico, è stato caratterizzato anche come un caso di studio multiplo. Per l'analisi del materiale è stata utilizzata l'analisi discorsiva dell'enunciazione. Per la raccolta dei dati, è stato prima letto il libro e poi guardati i film, individuando stralci ritenuti rilevanti. Dopo le analisi, i risultati hanno permesso la costruzione di affermazioni che hanno composto una formazione discorsiva in cui le persone grasse sono ghiotte, ricche, potenti e coraggiose. Sebbene sia un pezzo di propaganda comunista, questa formazione discorsiva si discosta dal grasso borghese, identificato in altre fonti storiche, poiché i tre grassoni assomigliavano più a signori feudali che a borghesi, nel senso stretto di questo termine nella dottrina marxista.
