Resumo: This article aims to understand how the National Program of School Nutrition contributes for peasant reproduction here understood as the consolidation of a set of rights such as access to land, labor and income. This research was based on a case study of a peasant family that migrated from Paraná to São Paulo, one of the responsables for de foundation of the Rural Community Association Alvorada (ACRA). The development of this research was done throught the study of the literature about peasantry, land income and legislation that guides the Program, in addition to a consult to the Association’s archive and documents. The methodology used included collected data by listening to the peasants’ life stories, also important to this research. The study allowed to conclude that the laws and resolutions which rule the National Program of School Nutrition, particularly the law number 11.947 from 2009 – even with all the challenges that had to be overcome for its implementation – helped enable an empowerment of the peasant agriculture.

A pesquisa fundamentou-se no estudo de caso de uma família de camponeses migrantes do Paraná para São Paulo, uma das responsáveis pela fundação da Associação Comunitária Rural Alvorada (Acra). O desenvolvimento desta pesquisa foi feito a partir do estudo bibliográfico sobre temas como o campesinato, a renda da terra e a legislação que orienta o Pnae, além de consultas a documentos da própria Associação. Utilizou-se também a História Oral de Vida, por compreender que os registros orais são importantes para o levantamento de informações e construção da pesquisa.
