Resumo: Brazilian National Nuclear comission signed a convenium with National University of Rio de Janeiro on Jannuary, 2nd, 1962 creating the Nuclear Institute. The Universitary City allowed a 150.000m2 area on a small hill called "Sapucaia" where the IEN comes being constructed. The goal of this unpretentious work is to show that has been done, what we are doing and what we plan to do in order to utilize nuclear energy for the pregress of Brazil.
