Resumo: | To continue analysis initiated some time ago, new amino acids samples were measured by neutron cross section techniques. This amino acids used in parenteral administration in hospital patients with special importance in nutritional applications were analyzed to compare with the manufactory data. In the present work individual amino acid samples of serine, methionine, thriptophane, glycine and alanine were measured with the neutron crystal spectrometer installed at the J-9 irradiation channel of the 1kW Argonauta Reactor of the Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear (IEN). Gold and D2O high purity samples were used for the experimental system calibration. Neutron cross section values were calculated from chemical composition, conformation and molecular structure analysis of the materials. Literature data were manipulated by parceling and grouping neutron cross sections. Methionine sample was measured again because last results not were as expected. |
