Resumo: Research on the LGBT theme has been made in his work, including recognition, a struggle for rights and representativeness. The entertainment of the evaluation of the criticism of that minority social minorities and legislations that guarantee rights to these social minorities. Along with this, the framework in the sexuality of its various dimensions, such as sex, sexuality, gender, and the themes that support scientific production in the LGBT theme, have been constructed. The university has been presented as a field of research of knowledge and reflections around these themes and an arena of resistances and struggles. Podemos perceber a necessidade de reflexões críticas em torno das diversidades sexuais, a fim de contribuir para a ampliação de debates que possibilitem o fomento de políticas públicas e legislações que garantam direitos as ditas minorias sociais. Ao longo do tempo construiu-se um arcabouço em torno da sexualidade em suas mais variadas dimensões, como o sexo, a diversidade sexual, o gênero e outros temas que dão suporte as produções científicas na temática LGBT. A universidade tem se apresentado como um campo de produção do conhecimento e reflexões em torno destas temáticas e uma arena de resistências e de lutas.
