Resumo: In Brazil, goat production has advanced considerably over the years, mainly anejodue to the adaptability and rusticity of the animal and the numerous products that it is able to offer. However, within any animal breeding, it is essential that a prior planning is carried out for the use of appropriate techniques and correct management, ensuring the maintenance of animal health and welfare, quality of production, reduction of risks and future costs for the producer. In case of failure, the health of the goat is compromised and it may be predisposed to develop several diseases, being the respiratory system one of the most affected and that mainly affects animals that are still developing as goats. The objective of this study is to report three cases of respiratory diseases in goat kids that were followed up during the internship period at the Large Animal Clinic of the University of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of UNESP - Botucatu in 2022, correlating them and seeking to point out the main causes of management error that may predispose the animal to these conditions. Besides the follow-up of the cases, the records of the patients and the results of the complementary exams, obtained through the internal system of the Veterinary Hospital, were analyzed. The patients of the case are male goats, of the Anglo Nubian breed, who were referred to the Clinic with the main complaints being dyspnea, apathy and lack of appetite. In only one of the animals it was possible to perform treatment and clinical discharge, the other two died the same day they arrived and the necropsy of both was performed to obtain the causes of death.

BrasilCampus Manaus Zona LesteInstituto Federal do AmazonasIFAMMedicina VeterináriaInstituto Federal do AmazonasIFAMMedicina VeterináriaInstituto Federal do AmazonasIFAMMedicina VeterináriaLopes Júnior, Adilson de LimaLopes Junior, Adilson de LimaSilva, Idalécio Pacífico daSouza, Eduardo Lima deBraga., Victoria Gamboa2023-05-09T23:38:24Z2023-05-092023-05-09T23:38:24Z2022-11-30info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttp://repositorio.ifam.edu.br/jspui/handle/4321/1242porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional do IFAM (Repositório Institucional do Instituto Federal do Amazonas)instname:Instituto Federal do Amazonas (IFAM)instacron:IFAM2023-05-25T20:53:10Zoai:localhost:4321/1242Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttp://repositorio.ifam.edu.br/oai/requestcgeb@ifam.edu.bropendoar:2023-05-25T20:53:10Repositório Institucional do IFAM (Repositório Institucional do Instituto Federal do Amazonas) - Instituto Federal do Amazonas (IFAM)false
