Resumo: | The first traces of the use of forensic techniques were in China in the 17th century, where Ti Chien Yen used logic and evidence to investigate, clarify and solve a criminal case. Since then, there was an upgrade on the tools and technologies used by Forensic Science - with the same purpose - have been improved in order to have more accuracy within less time for the diagnosis of samples. Microscopy has multiple techniques, being a forensic tool of great influence in criminalistics due to its analytical diversity for evidential analysis. Their applications directly contribute to society in the resolution of crimes and application of civil justice and its analyzes cooperate in the creation of methodologies that can be used in forensic diagnoses. This article, through a study of cases, aims to increase and contribute to forensic science, highlighting the applications of microscopy in this area to decipher criminal issues. |

This article, through a study of cases, aims to increase and contribute to forensic science, highlighting the applications of microscopy in this area to decipher criminal issues.
