Resumo: Poultry farming in agroecological-based systems is considered a viable option for the diversification of income in family agriculture, with the sale of quality meat and eggs, contributing to the food and nutritional security of the consumer market. However, it presents a certain complexity, requiring knowledge of the recommended management techniques to obtain successful rearing. Therefore, this work aims to show, through bibliographical research, the requirements and recommendations inherent to the breeding of birds in agroecological-based production systems according to the recommendations of the current legislation.

Sin embargo, presenta cierta complejidad, necesitándose conocer las técnicas de manejo recomendadas para obtener el éxito de la crianza. El objetivo de este trabajo fue mostrar, a través de una investigación bibliográfica, las exigencias y recomendaciones inherentes a la crianza de aves en sistemas de producción de base agroecológica de acuerdo con la legislación vigente.A criação de aves em sistemas de base agroecológica é considerada uma opção viável para a diversificação da renda na agricultura familiar, com a venda de carne e ovos de qualidade, contribuindo para a segurança alimentar e nutricional do mercado consumidor. Entretanto, apresenta certa complexidade, necessitando-se conhecer as técnicas de manejo recomendadas para obter o sucesso da criação.
