Analysis of the spatial transformations resultant from the transition of the fordism model into flexible accumulation models

Resumo: This article discusses the complex transition from the predominant fordist accumulation model into new accumulation regimes after the crisis in the 1970s. Such transition, still in progress, has originated new spatialities and new practices of territory management that, in many ways, differ from the fordist spatilitiy and, in many others, maintain its principles. The new technical possibilities of space utilization and the consequent growth of the networks are clear factors in this process.
