Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and their inclusion into non-segregated airspace

Resumo: In recent years, society has seen growth in the use of aircraft without the presence of a pilot aboard. Such devices are named Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) by the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC). This equipment emerges at a time when many companies have an interest in their use for commercial purposes due to their capacity to multiple uses. The main objective of this article is to discuss the inclusion of UAV into non-segregated airspace, where it will fly along with conventional aircraft, and also present the operating characteristics of the equipment, its historical evolution, the efforts and concern of the aeronautical authorities for possible regulation and inclusion in Brazilian airspace.

Tais dispositivos são denominados Veículos Aéreos Não Tripulados pela Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil. Esses equipamentos despontam em um momento em que um grande número de empresas se mostra interessada em sua utilização com fins comerciais em razão da sua capacidade de múltipla utilização.
