Migration in Macae: Impacts of Industrialization in the Urbanization Process

Resumo: In order to gather information about the growing process of transformation and diversification of spatialities present in the city of Macae, this paper presents the extent of migration in the city, in the context of economic and social transformations that occur within a process of incorporating a new productive form of energy. The reading of the information collected by the Household Survey “Profile and Survey of Family Wishes Macanese” held by Citizens Program Macae, Macae City Hall and the IBGE, the reflection on the possible need to seek new instrumental analysis representing the complex reality of a society increasingly showing characteristics of a metropolitan municipality, with regard to the problems by the dichotomy embedded industrialization and urbanization.
