Hotel industry, sustainability and certification: a bibliometric study

Resumo: Public outcry for ethical, transparent, socially and environmentally responsible business practices is increasing dramatically. In this context, companies are striving to better meet expectations in order to achieve sustainability in all its levels. The tourism sector, the fastest growing industry in the world, could not fail to follow this trend. Thus, this article aims to contribute, from the quantitative identification of publications citing the terms hotel management, sustainable tourism, NBR 15401 and certification in sustainability, the configuration of the state of the art on the subject in question.

Nesse contexto, as empresas vêm buscando atender cada vez melhor às expectativas das partes interessadas, visando a alcançar a sustentabilidade em todos os seus níveis.O turismo, segmento da indústria que mais cresce no mundo, não poderia deixar de seguir esta tendência.
