Resumo: In this way, the objective of this work was to know the reality of these subjects in view of the performance of ATER in the Settlement (PA) project Mãe Maria in the municipality of São Félix do Araguaia - MT. A quali-quantitative research was carried out using the interview technique, through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire with open and closed questions, covering about 30% of the settlers. In the work, issues related to socioeconomic issues were addressed and soon after, regarding the perception and difficulties regarding the ATER policy by farmers in the P-A. After collecting the data, they were transcribed to an Excel spreadsheet and performed the relevant analyzes. Of the respondents, about 62% said they had never received technical assistance and 36% reported not having knowledge of these programs. Of those who received some type of ATER services, 71% claimed to have obtained an effective result in more than 90% of the activities carried out. Thus, it was possible to observe that there is a lack of ATER services for the settlers of PA Mãe Maria, directly implying the results obtained in the properties.

Se realizó una investigación cuali-cuantitativa mediante la técnica de entrevista, mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario semiestructurado con preguntas abiertas y cerradas, cubriendo alrededor del 30% de los pobladores. En el trabajo se abordaron temas relacionados con aspectos socioeconómicos y, poco después, la percepción y dificultades de la política ATER por parte de los agricultores de la P-A. Una vez recopilados los datos, se transcribieron a una hoja de cálculo de Excel y se realizaron los análisis pertinentes. De los encuestados, alrededor del 62% dijo que nunca había recibido asistencia técnica y el 36% informó no tener conocimiento de estos programas. De los que recibieron algún tipo de servicios ATER, el 71% afirmó haber obtenido un resultado efectivo en más del 90% de las actividades realizadas. Así, se pudo observar que existe una falta de servicios ATER para los pobladores de PA Mãe Maria, implicando directamente los resultados obtenidos en las propiedades.As políticas públicas são serviços fundamentais no processo de desenvolvimento da agricultura familiar. Desta maneira o objetivo deste trabalho foi conhecer a realidade desses sujeitos frente a atuação da ATER no projeto de Assentamento (PA) Mãe Maria no município de São Félix do Araguaia – MT. Foi realizado uma pesquisa quali-quantitativa utilizando a técnica da entrevista, por meio da aplicação de um questionário semiestruturado com perguntas dissertativas e objetivas, abrangendo cerca de 30% dos assentados. No trabalho foram abordados assuntos ligados às questões socioeconômicas e logo após o que diz respeito a percepção e dificuldades com relação a política de ATER pelos agricultores do PA. Após a coleta dos dados fez-se a transcrição para uma planilha do Excel e realizado as análises pertinentes. Dos entrevistados, cerca de 62% afirmaram nunca ter recebido assistência técnica e 36% relataram não ter conhecimento desses programas. Dos que receberam algum tipo de serviços de ATER, 71% argumentaram ter obtido resultado eficaz em mais de 90% das atividades realizadas.
